The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is recruiting for an enthusiastic PLAYROOM SUPERVISOR to join our busy Health Club Team


When you join us:

·         Based in our Health Club, you will be managing our Playroom facility including a small team of casual staff.
·         You will be welcoming families to the Playroom, and preparing and carrying out activities with children aged 3 to 10
·         You will produce a daily program of children’s activities during the school holidays
·         As our Playroom is most busy during weekends, school holidays, bank holidays and festive periods, you will be required to work these times so flexibility is essential.
·         You will ensure all levels of care are in line with Ofsted guidelines and liaise with Ofsted where necessary for inspections and required paperwork
·         There will other additional tasks within the Health Club when the Playroom is quiet.

Our Playroom opening times are 10am-5pm each day so your shifts will be around these hours.

You will be joining us on an initial fixed term contract of 35 hours per week until July 2018, however there may be scope for this contract to be extended past this time period and additional hours available each week depending on business needs. Start date April 2017.

Skills / Qualifications required & any further information

·         An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare is essential – please stipulate this on your application.
·         A certificate in Emergency Paediatric First Aid would be an advantage
·         An up to date DBS check is required, however if you do not have one, we will arrange this for you
·         Experience of working within an Ofsted registered child care facility or knowledge of Ofsted guidlines.
·         Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
·         A good team spirit and the ability to remain calm under pressure
